I BOUGHT 3 BOOKS THIS ONE, TURBOCHARGERS STREET TURBOCHARGING AND .AND OUT OF ALL THOSE THE BEST IS MAXIMUM BOOST AND STREET TURBOCHARGING IS PRETY GOOD TOO .
-BUT THIS BOOK(TURBOCHARGERS) IS SUCH A OLD NEWS, COMPLETELY OUT DATED, JUST LOOK AT THE PICTURES AND YOU WON’T EVEN WANT TO READ IT, IT IS BORING AND REALLY SUCKS!!!!
BUT IN THE OTHER HAND,MAXIMUM BOOST HAS SUCH AN EXCELLENT, DETAIL AND ACCURATE INFORMATION.
YOU HAVE TO HAVE THIS BOOK, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!!!
-STREET TURBOCHARGING IS THE SECOND IN LINE AND STILL PRETY GOOD

The only reason I didn’t give this book 5 stars is because I thought it could have used a bit more detail / examples regarding carb’d turbo applications.
Formulas are well drawn out with easy to follow examples.
A lot of real life experiences are shared.
An update or additional series would be perfect (5 star material).

If you bought an antique turbo and want to know everything about it, this is the book for you. If you have a newer car with a turbo, then pass this one over. It was a big disappointment. Why did I waste my money? Get Maximum Boost instead.

In the 3 hours I read this book I went from “what’s a turbo” to a guy confident in adding a turbo to a car from scratch. It covers every aspect to adding a turbo to an engine. Everything you need to know is in this book EXCEPT for engine management tuning. That’s a completely different subject that is way more complex than the turbo is.
If you want to know as much about turbo and adding a turbo to your car as the experts do then buy this book. It has all the info in there. Even the newer books add only slightly different information only in relation to newer turbo designs and specifications, the basics and understanding is exactly the same and will make you realize that undercharging a car that does not have one is really a lot easier than you thought it was.
